Recap of December 8th Westside 9-12 Meeting

This update is more than a little late. Part of the reason is that I wanted to unplug and reflect on the Christmas season. In addition, the subject of our last meeting was less than merry and I felt like a scrooge sending it out.  We spent the meeting discussing the United Nations Agenda 21 also known as Sustainable Development. I mentioned  Agenda 21 in my e-mail recapping the November 4th meeting but I felt it deserved more attention. The attached document is an excellent overview and I would encourage you to read it. In a nutshell it is basically a plan for the United Nations to circumvent national sovereignty (and the U.S. Constitution) and exert power over your personal life. The U.N. has been working with state and local governments and corporations to make changes that limit personal liberty.  The document provides a lot of information on how this is happening and what can be done about it.

We also addressed the mindset that is involved in Agenda 21 and so many other attacks on our liberties. I discussed Bertrand Russell’s 1952 book Impact of Science on Society. I mentioned this book in our June meeting and details can be found on our blog at this link: I believe the attitudes described are typical of the ruling class. Pretty sobering stuff.

I also talked about the 1991 book The First Global Revolution written by Alexander King & Bertrand Schneider who are members of the Club of Rome an elitist one world government group who were leaders of the global warming push. I have detailed the book in this blog posting: This is more evidence that the ruling class feel you have no right to make your own decisions in life.

This led to a discussion on the recent global warming summit in Cancun Mexico and an article in the Enquirer concerning Geoengineering. I believe this is the story that was published in the paper: I would encourage you to get familiar with this concept. The elites are not content with controlling humans they now want to control the weather as well.

Like I said, not very cheery stuff but we all need to understand what is at stake. There is currently a fight for the future direction of the nation and the winner will be the group who refuses to give up. The U.N. and other like-minded organizations are working with our local and state governments in order to influence our legislation and the sad part is that many of our elected officials are not aware of the hidden agenda. It is up to us to make sure they are clear on what is happening and that we the people do not consent to these agreements.

Since it is the first of the year it is traditional to make New Years Resolutions. My resolution is to double my efforts to restore this nation to limited government and maximum personal liberty. I would urge you to do the same. We currently have over a hundred people on our mailing list but we rarely have over 30 people at our meetings. Each one of you cares enough about our country to have attended our meetings at some point. Maybe you felt our group was not for you. If that is the case I can understand but please get active with another like-minded organization. The other side is not going away and we cannot concede this country to their totalitarian impulses. I would ask that you give our meetings another try if you have not attended in a while. We need as many people fighting the fight as possible. If your schedule does not allow you to attend meetings then please stay informed and work towards liberty every day. Never underestimate what one determined individual can accomplish. Here are other resolutions that you may want to adopt for this year:

1. Get Prepared! Do you have a stock of food and water in case of emergencies? Here is a list of things you might not have thought about:
2. Get a deeper understanding of the concepts that have made this country great. We have classes at the Green Township library where we discuss the principles behind the constitution. I have heard that the Harrison Tea Party has been discussing the Federalist Papers. Attend one of their meetings to find out: The Cincinnati 9-12 group is also hosting a Making of America seminar on January 29th. This is an excellent seminar.
3. Attend local council meetings. Find out what your local politicians are up to. You would be surprised. This is also a good way to find out what is going on in your community. Once again: those who show up win.
4. Talk to your friends & neighbors. Instead of small talk make a real effort to get them to understand that they need to work to secure their liberty. It is a cliche but it is true: Freedom isn’t free. The more the government takes from you and you do not push back the more they are emboldened to take in the future. Here is a grim reminder of what can happen when passive sheep allow the wolves to do what they want:

On a more positive note; a good example of what just a handful of people can accomplish is the recent food drive that our group operated in connection with Glenn Beck’s recent visit to Wilmington. Mike & Diane Ruehl resolved to collect donations for the Sugartree ministry in Wilmington. In less than a month and with just a few volunteers they were able to collect $763 and deliver two van loads of food to deliver to the ministry. We want to thank everyone who helped in this effort. A lot can be accomplished when you put your mind to it.
